Mentee
The Mentoring Cohort pairs underrepresented and minority students with faculty and staff for mentorship. The cohort mentees are in different stages of their academic journey, from first-year students to those preparing to defend their dissertation. Mentees are required to commit to the cohort for one semester, though several mentees have been a part of the cohort for a year or longer. In addition, mentees are also required to meet with their mentors once a month. Most mentors and mentees exceed the cohort requirements and develop successful and healthy mentoring relathionships.
